What İs Reactive Dye?

  • It is a group of dyestuffs used in dyeing and printing of cellulosic fibers (cotton, viscose, modal etc.) and can provide high fastness by making covalent bonds with fiber molecules.
  • Reactive dyestuffs are divided into three groups.
  • Cold Dyestuffs ( between 20 - 40 C ): They have high reactivity.
  • Warm Dyestuffs ( between 40 – 60 C ): It has moderate reactivity. It is not a common method.
  • Hot Dyestuffs ( between 60 - 80 C ): They have lower reactivity. It is the group with the highest surface smoothness and color efficiency. It is the most common dyeing method.
